Small Business Program

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions takes a holistic view of diversity, recognizing that the goal of ensuring equal access to participation in the Site’s opportunities is dependent upon making sure we have the right people at the table. Our Small Business Programs and Supplier Partnering Office is chartered with facilitating equal opportunity for all qualified suppliers. We have a robust outreach program to identify these sources, but we encourage you to contact us if you feel you can help us. We are governed by the Department of Energy and the federal laws that dictate how federal dollars should be spent.

We prioritize small businesses when it comes to awarding contracts, providing resources, or offering support services. The main goal of this policy is to promote the growth and sustainability of small businesses by giving them better access to opportunities that might otherwise be dominated by larger companies.

Small Business Initiatives

Small Business Contract Set-Asides

To ensure fair competition and greater opportunities for small businesses to secure contracts with SRNS, certain contracts are reserved exclusively for them as set-asides.

Set-asides are authorized for the following categories, competitive at any dollar value within the following contract amounts:

Small Business

$100K or less, $3M construction when reasonable expectation offers will be obtained from 2 or more vendors.

8(a) Certified

$5.5 M or less for products in NAICS sections 31 -33 and $3.5M or less for all others on sole source.

HUBZone

$5.5 M or less for products in NAICS sections 31 -33 and $3.5M or less for all others on sole source.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB)

$5.5 M or less for products in NAICS sections 31 -33 and $3M or less for all others on sole source.

Local Trade Area

Competitive at any dollar value.
